LEGACY – Mentorship for a lasting future

The Program

Mentor Application Form

What’s New…AMBYESE is now starting a mentoring program to add to its list of student services! AMBYESE’s new Legacy mentoring program seeks to prepare high potential youth from diverse backgrounds to lead successful lives and make great contributions to society. Our mentees are select high school sophomores and juniors from the Fairfield and Westchester County area. Our mentors are active young professionals with a zeal for helping to develop the next generation of successful young leaders. Mentors are matched to a mentee based on interests and background. Mentors strive to build a trusting relationship with mentees in order to offer guidance, support and wisdom. The strength of our program rests in our ability to cultivate a rich and engaged volunteer mentor community for our mentees to tap into as a resource.

The Program

MentoringThe program will begin in mid-August and run the course of the school year to early-June consisting of a series of topic-centric monthly group sessions and individual progress meetings. Group session agendas will include the annual AMBYESE Conference, Social Entrepreneurship (Harvard Business School cases), Science and Medicine, International Affairs and Law, and a timely Mock College Admissions Process among others. See program calendar for complete schedule.

If you are interested in applying to become a member, please visit us at http://www.ambyese.com/legacymentoring.html to complete the Mentor Application and return it to legacy@ambyese.com for consideration of your qualifications. Our qualification review entails, among other things, a background check. All personal information obtained by AMBYESE throughout this qualification process shall be held in strictest confidence. After your application has been reviewed, if qualified, you will be contacted by a member of the Legacy team to arrange for an in-person interview. You may be asked to provide a letter of recommendation at such interview. Our in-person interviews held at UConn-Stamford Campus are an opportunity for us to get to know you better and for you to familiarize yourself with the program.
